I had a great experience with The Concrete Protector and would definitely recommend their training. LJ and Bob were both great instructors and made everything hands-on, easy to understand, and relevant to what we’ll actually be doing in the field. I probably asked LJ a thousand questions about the different products and systems throughout the training, and he always had an answer or could share his own experience using them. I’ve been installing concrete coatings for about 8 months, so I came into the training with some experience, but I really wanted to see how they do things, learn some new systems, and hopefully pick up some tricks along the way. I definitely did. They even brought out the PolyHard system at my request so I could learn more about it since I may have a project next year where I’ll need it. I really appreciated that. It showed they were willing to make the training personal and focus on systems that could actually benefit my business. Kathy has also been great to work with as my rep. I was upfront with her that I use products from different manufacturers depending on the system and what I feel is best for a particular application. She completely understood that and never made me feel pressured to use their products for everything. Business is business, and I really respected that approach. Being fairly local to The Concrete Protector is another big plus for me, and the entire experience felt personal rather than like I was just another contractor coming through a training class. I definitely plan on doing business with The Concrete Protector in the future. I’m especially interested in using their Graniflex systems, decorative overlays, and PolyHard system. I’m actually planning to put a rustic wood overlay down in my own house soon so I can put what I learned to use and test my skills before offering more of it to customers.
